Dublin, Belfast and the Boyne Valley
Our new tour is based in Meath, one of the most beautiful counties of Ireland and rich in history and heritage. Our tour includes fabulous excursions to the very popular cities of Dublin and Belfast, as well as providing an excellent base from which to explore the fascinating Boyne Valley and the treasure trove that is Trim, home to the castle whose keep featured in Mel Gibsons Braveheart. This tour is based on Sunday or Monday departures.

Day 1 Afternoon ferry crossing and on to your base in Meath.
Day 2 Meet your guide for a full day excursion of the Boyne Valley, a landscape riddled with passage tombs, monastic ruins and bloody battlefields. Rich in Irish mythology and heritage, your guide will bring history alive as you are transported through the ages of one of the most beautiful rural landscapes on the Emerald Isle. Learn about the historic ruins of Monasterboice and Mellifont Abbey, the Hill of Tara, former seat of the High Kings of Ireland and see Trim, home to more medieval buildings than any other town in Ireland.
Day 3 A full day excursion to Dublin. Enjoy time at leisure to explore this fascinating and charming city that is steeped in history. See Dublin Castle, Trinity College, the iconic Hapenny Bridge and the abundance of museums and galleries. It is possible to enhance this day with a guided introductory tour of the city, a cruise with informative commentary on the river Liffey, or with admission to the Guinness Storehouse where your tour will finish in the Gravity bar where a pint of Guinness and breathtaking views over the city await.
Day 4 A full day excursion to compact Belfast. Spend time in Victoria Square, Europes biggest urban regeneration project and see this massive city-centre tourist attraction that includes Victorian architecture and a modern waterfront art walk. Explore the citys other highlights such as City Hall, the National Trusts historic Crown Liquor Saloon and the Botanic Gardens, a beautiful public park first established in 1895. At an additional cost, we can include a visit to the excellent Titanic Belfast, a state of the art visitor centre built on the site where the worlds most famous liner was created.
Day 5 Morning ferry crossing and homeward journey.
