Tuscany is, in many ways, the essence of Italy, with olive groves, vineyards and the distinct cypress trees forming the landscape. This tour takes in Florence, Lucca, Pisa and Siena. The hotel is based in Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance and home to Pisaro, Botticelli, da Vinci and Michelangelo. Florence is known as the capital of arts and, according to UNESCO, 60% of the world's most important works of art are located in Italy, of which approximately half are in Florence.

Day 1 Fly from the UK to Florence, where you will be met by your English speaking guide, and transferred to your hotel. This evening dinner is at a local restaurant.
Day 2 Breakfast is followed by a guided walking tour of the beautiful city of Florence, visiting the Duomo, the cathedral church noted for its dome, designed by Filippo Brunelleschi, and for its bell-tower, designed by Giotto. Enjoy the Boboli Gardens and the Palazzo Pitti, now one of Florence's most important art galleries.
Day 3 Today is yours at leisure. Perhaps visit the Uffizi Gallery, see Michelangelo's "David", or explore the Medieval shops that line the Ponte Vecchio. Alternatively, while away some time over a glass of Chianti in one of the shady squares.

Day 5 After breakfast visit Siena for a full day guided tour. Established as a market place in the thirteenth century, the great central square, the Campo, is the heart of the city, and is surrounded by medieval alleyways.
