Ironbridge and the Severn Valley

The Ironbridge Gorge was the birthplace of industry, the railways changed transport forever and the age of air travel brought the whole world within reach.

Severn Valley Railway • Bewdley • Ironbridge Gorge Museums

Day 1 Travel to the hotel in Ironbridge with an en route stop at Weston Park, a 17th century country house set in 1000 acres of Capability Brown landscaped parkland.

Day 2 Travel to Bridgnorth for a return journey on the Severn Valley Railway to Kidderminster for a visit to the Engine House Museum and breaking the return journey in the Georgian riverside town of Bewdley before returning to Bridgnorth.

Day 3 A full day guided visit to the famous Ironbridge Gorge Museums. The included '10 Museums' ticket allows entry to all the attractions including Blists Hill Victorian Town. Blists Hill offers a street of shops, a state of the art visitor centre and narrow gauge railway. Costumed staff are on hand to provide information on what life was like in Victorian times.

Day 4 Homeward journey with an en route stop at the RAF Museum Cosford where over 70 aircraft are displayed in three hangers including the purpose built National Cold War Exhibition.
