Severn Valley Railway Journey • Acton Scott Working Farm • Ironbridge Gorge Museum

Day 1 Travel to the hotel in Ironbridge.

Day 2 Take a short trip to the Georgian town of Bewdley for a scenic journey on the Severn Valley Railway. Disembark at Bridgnorth and continue to Shrewsbury, the first home of Charles Darwin. After lunch, travel to Acton Scott Working Farm, home to the BBC's Victorian Farm and Escape in Time. Arguably the best example of its kind, Acton Scott offers a fascinating insight into life on a farm at the turn of the 19th century. It is home to many rare breeds of animal and offers a variety of demonstrations. Return to the hotel with a stop in Ludlow, Shropshire's 'Food and Drink Capital', if time permits.

Day 3 This morning travel north for a full day visit to the famous Ironbridge Gorge Museum. The included 'all sites ticket' allows entry to all ten attractions including Blists Hill Victorian Town. Renovated in 2009, Blists Hill now offers a new street of shops, a state of the art visitor centre and narrow gauge railway. Costumed staff are on hand to provide information on what life was like in Victorian times.

Day 4 Homeward journey with a recommended stop at the Jinny Ring Craft Centre in Worcestershire. View various different crafts from felt and jewellery making to millinery and glass blowing.
