Bruges... Chocolate and Lace

Bruges is a real gem and is a very popular short break destination. A stroll through the cobbled streets, past the many shops and cafes, and around the Markt, highlights a city that remains very proud of its history, which they nurture and cherish for the many visitors to discover and enjoy.  Prices are based on a midweek stay in Bruges and a small supplement may apply for weekends and peak dates.

Day 1 Short Channel crossing. Arrive in Bruges for a 2 night stay.

Day 2 A full day at leisure in Bruges to discover its many charms. Stroll the compact city centre and explore the many squares, cobbled streets and canals, as well as the numerous chocolate shops and lace makers. Enjoy a lunch or dinner at one of the many pavement cafés and restaurants the city has to offer. A guided scenic boat trip along the pretty canals is highly recommended.

Day 3 Travel to Calais for the short Channel crossing to Dover and home.

Extend the stay to 3 nights to include a visit to nearby Ghent, with its wonderful old town; Ypres, with its In Flanders Field Museum; or the seaside and the coastal town of Ostend.
