Day 1 Channel crossing. Overnight in the Orleans area.
Day 2 Travel through the French countryside and past Limoges to arrive in Rocamadour for a 5 night stay.
Day 3 A day at leisure to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Rocamadour, including its imposing mediaeval castle, monastic buildings and charming pedestrian centre. This town has been welcoming visitors and pilgrims for over 1,000 years.
Day 4 A morning visit to the historic hilltop town of Domme to take in the impressive views across the region. Continue to the pretty riverside town of La Roque-Gageac for an included cruise on a traditional barge.
Day 5 Visit the picturesque town of Sarlat-la- Canéda, known for its local food delicacies. The charming cobbled streets of the old town are full of shops and pavement cafes, as well as the Cathedral and Chateau to explore. Return via the mediaeval town of Souillac.
Day 6 Travel northwards to the vibrant town of Brivela-Gaillarde. Enjoy the arts, crafts and local food and drink produced in the town. There are also interesting museums to discover, including the Edmund Michelet museum recounting life in the resistance during WWII.
Day 7 Leave Rocamadour and stop an overnight stay on the outskirts of Paris.
Day 8 Short Channel crossing to Dover and home.
