Day 1 Channel crossing. Overnight in northern Germany.
Day 2 Travel eastwards through Germany to Dresden for a 5 night stay.
Day 3 A day at leisure to explore Dresden. Largely destroyed during WWII, the city has been lovingly reconstructed, with cultural and architectural gems to discover, such as the Fraunenkirche, Castle and Dresden Zwinger, considered one of the finest Baroque buildings in Germany.
Day 4 Take a morning cruise on the scenic River Elbe, from the city centre down to the impressive Pillnitz Palace and beautiful gardens. The architecture is a curious mix of Baroque and Oriental influences which was once the summer residence for the Saxon rulers. Enjoy time to explore before taking the short journey back to Dresden by coach.
Day 5 A full day beginning with a visit to the famous musical city of Leipzig. A guided tour is recommended to gain the most from this impressive city. Return to Dresden via Meissen Porcelain for a guided tour including their workshop, with free time to explore the museum.
Day 6 A full day beginning with a visit to Moritzburg and admission to this fairytale castle and gardens. In the afternoon, join the scenic Lössnitzgrund Railway for a relaxing steam train ride through the pretty Saxony countryside to Radebeul.
