Day 1 Travel to the hotel near Glasgow.
Day 2 With an abundance of history, attractions and beautiful architecture, Edinburgh is an incredible capital city. Enjoy a panoramic guided tour with the rest of the day to explore at your own pace.
Day 3 A leisurely day to the New Lanark UNESCO World Heritage Site. Founded in 1785 and known for its pioneering social history. See how the villagers lived, learned and worked. Magnificent views can be taken of the River Clyde from the rooftop garden and, for those that wish, there is a lovely woodland walk.
Day 4 Head for the North Berwickshire coast, stopping at the Archerfield Walled Garden. Wander through the 18th century garden, browse in the food market or enjoy a coffee and cake. On then to the seaside town of North Berwick. Home to a mixture of shops and cafes, venture to the old harbour with striking views over the Firth of Forth and the Bass Rock. We include a visit to the Scottish Seabird Centre and their Discovery Experience to explore the wonders of Scotland's seas.
Day 5 Homeward bound
The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo – August 2027
For 3 weeks in August, Edinburgh plays host to the unforgettable annual spectacle that is The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, performed against the backdrop of Edinburgh Castle. Tours include 3 nights half board accommodation, plus admission to The Tattoo. Provisional dates 6-28 August.
