The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo

Scotland's capital city is well deserving of its status as a world famous tourist destination with attractions to entice visitors all year round. But for 3 weeks in August, Edinburgh plays host to the unforgettable annual spectacle that is The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, performed against the backdrop of Edinburgh Castle.

The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo takes place annually in August. Performances are usually Monday to Saturday from 9.30pm with a nearly show on all Saturdays at 6.15pm. Please note that all performances include pyrotechnics, subject to appropriate weather conditions.

Hotels
We can offer hotels in Glasgow, on Edinburgh's outskirts and in Stirling, Perth and Dundee, all suitable bases for a visit to The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Accommodation is half board but, depending upon the performance time, dinner at the hotel may be substituted for high tea at a restaurant in Edinburgh.
