Day 1 Travel north to Crianlarich.
Day 2 Board Scotrail’s scenic rail service at Crianlarich. Pass through the beautiful Glen Lochy and the ancient ruin of Kilchurn Castle, onwards to Loch Awe and finally the coastal town of Oban. Enjoy free time here before rejoining the coach and travelling to the pretty and popular town of Inveraray for an included visit of Inveraray jail and County Court, now a living museum where real people portray life in a 19th century prison.
Day 3 A leisurely start this morning venturing south to Loch Lomond Shores, a unique offering of shopping, eateries, outdoor activities and even an aquarium (admission not included). After lunch, continue to Tarbet for a cruise on Loch Lomond, a delightful way to further enjoy the scenery of the “Bonnie Banks”, Ben Lomond and the dramatic northern end of the loch. The skipper’s live commentary and a cup of tea and coffee are included.
Day 4 Witness some beautiful Scottish scenery today with an excursion to Perthshire. Travel via Crieff, to Aberfeldy, Scotland’s first fair-trade town and onwards to the conservation village of Kenmore. Pass Loch Tay and view the mighty falls of Dochart in the village of Killin before returning to the hotel.
Day 5 Homeward bound.
