Guernsey & the Isle of Sark
Guernsey is just a short hop from Britain yet feels a world apart. Quirky customs and its own laws, as well as its position just off the coast of France, give the island a continental atmosphere whilst maintaining British comforts and familiarity. The island capital, St Peter Port, is a pretty harbour town with cobbled streets and Regency architecture. The town’s attractions include 800 year old Castle Cornet and Hauteville House, the eccentric home of Victor Hugo. This unspoilt island has glorious coastal views, a mild climate, sandy beaches around every corner and a visit to the enchanting island of Sark is like stepping back in time. During our inclusive tour we will get to know the island with our driver/guide. Expect to be enchanted by its natural beauty and fascinated by the little known stories of the island’s occupation by the Germans in the Second World War.
